Locked IN...

This is the day I chose to lay in my bed and do nothing all day. I suppose I have not actually ended up doing nothing...but to others it may seem like nothing. I did not enjoy the pretty day but rather enjoyed the rest of my book, "Roll of Thunder, Hear my Cry, " By Mildred Taylor. I liked the snippets of the racial history because alot of history classes lack even a piece of how it felt. History does not recount emotion. How did it feel to be treated less than a person?

Mildred Taylor
* born in Jackson, MS 1943
* author and salesman

I started "Prince Caspian," by C.S. Lewis. half way through now and I am enjoying it so far. This is the fourth boo in the series of Narnia. Those crazy daughters of eve and sons of adam. I really like how C.S. Lewis' writes and he also had alot of other literature. I found one book he wrote the other day about "Love," and the language for it in English.

C.S. Lewis
* Irish
* father: Albert was a solicitor (type of lawyer)
* Mother: Flora was a daughter of a priest.
* was an Athiest

I have 3 1/2 books to go before I finish the Narnia series.

Also I reread the "The Giving Tree," by Silverstein. I forgot how rather sad the book is. The other day in half price books I found it in Korean. I wonder what other cultures think of the story.

Silverstein:

* American
* served in the army

Other news: I worked on Joshua's mock website. Finished my thank you letters for the MI OX-Bow program including the travel scholarship thank you letter. Yay! Now I just need to print print print...reload ink cartridge...print.print.
